Sister Mary Kevin Cronin, O.P., a member of the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia Congregation in Nashville for 67 years, died December 11, 2025. She was 85 years old. Born in Chicago, Sister Mary Kevin was the daughter of the late Michael and Alice Stephens Cronin. She attended St. Cecilia Academy, graduating in 1958. She entered the Dominican Sisters the same year, making profession of vows in 1960. With a heart for the education of young children, Sister Mary Kevin served for over 30 years as a teacher in Catholic schools across Tennessee. She also helped to take care of the congregation’s infirm sisters before moving to the infirmary herself. In recent years Sister Mary Kevin has supported the congregation through her prayers and sacrifices. The funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, December 13 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Cecilia Motherhouse. Burial will follow in the convent cemetery
