Almighty God, You crowned our brother Peter with martyrdom as he faithfully preached the gospel. Help us to live that faith he professed at the moment of his death. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
