Reflections from the Sisters: September 4, 2007

Today we received official desks at work!  Sr. Mary Rachel has now officially joined the Evangelization and Catechesis Team.  She is assisting with review of proposals for the Youth Rallies that will be held throughout World Youth Day, and her Steubenville connections are speeding the process for speakers and musicians such as Jason Evert and Martin Domain. Sister Anna is not only serving as the Liturgy Assistant, but she has also begun to enhance World Youth Day liturgies by acting as Cantor during today’s Staff Mass.  Our Cecilian charism is alive and well in Sydney!  I am now a Work Force Assistant, and will be helping with recruitment and management of volunteers.  The first group from which my team will seek support tomorrow is the Mormons.  We passed two Mormon missionaries on the street a few days ago and were happily surprised when they turned back after passing us to greet us with a warm, “Keep up the great work!”  Apparently the World Youth Day spirit is contagious.
