Reflections
from the Sisters: October 4, 2007
Tonight we
attended a delightful performance of The Gondoliers at Sydney’s
world-famous Opera House. The Gilbert and Sullivan musical comedy was
wonderful, and the parishioners from Saint Michael’s were happy to share
with us their pride in their magnificent Opera House and the caliber of
its performers. Father Martin gave us a brief tour of the parish before
driving us back to Belmore. During the drive, he shared with us some of
the insights from his seminary formation. He spoke to us of the need for
daily prayer to remain faithful to one’s vocation. Father Martin remarked
that he had never for a day regretted his priesthood, and his joy
testifies to his love for Christ and his calling. |
