On-going Formation

Religious formation is a lifelong process that is taken seriously by
the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia. Traditionally, the sisters have
taken the summertime to pursue advanced degrees and enrichment classes in
both sacred and secular fields. It is a matter of fidelity to our charism,
which calls us to possess the truth we are asked to share. The
Congregation seeks to ground the sisters in sound theology, first on the
undergraduate level and later the pursuit of masters degrees. This summer
sisters are also pursuing degrees in philosophy, history, English,
liturgy, administration, accounting, and computer science. In addition to
formal study, sisters will participate in seminars on religious life which
cover the vows, community life and Dominican Spirituality.
