The bell sounded a steady
death toll at the Motherhouse of the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia when
news was received of the Holy Father's death. The Sisters
immediately assembled in the chapel to pray the Rosary for their beloved
Pontiff. In the week following the Pope's death, the Sisters prayed
the Office of the Dead and offered Mass for the repose of the soul of the
Holy Father. They also prayed all twenty decades of the Rosary in
community for the Pope. Pope John Paul II will be fondly remembered
for all times, and memories of his strong leadership and commitment to
holiness will be treasured always.
