A Tribute To Our Parents

In love you brought us into this world and taught us about God, the source of all love, by your example and through your words. You witnessed to the power of that love by your willingness to sacrifice and pointed us to the One whose sacrifice has redeemed us. You nurtured us in our smallness and with patience you focused on our potential. By giving us "the best" you increased our desire for that which is truly ultimate. You disciplined us and taught us the freedom of obedience. By living your convictions, you showed us the value of integrity. In countless ways you exposed us to the nobility of that which is good, true and beautiful. Now that we have found "the pearl of great price" we thank you. For without your love we would never have recognized and desired it. Our vocation is a gift that was given through you. May the hundredfold promised us in the Gospel be yours as well.
