Saint Pius V School is a pre-k through 8th
grade school located in Providence, Rhode Island. The school was founded by
the Dominican Fathers of the Province of Saint Joseph in 1929. At the
invitation of the pastor of Saint Pius V Parish, the Sisters of Saint
Dominic of Blauvelt, New York, opened Saint Pius V School that same year.
In 1998 the last administering sister of the Sisters of
Saint Dominic of Blauvelt, New York left the school. After six years of lay
leadership the community of Saint Pius V invited the Dominican Sisters of
Saint Cecilia Congregation to administer and teach the truth and love of
Jesus to their children. The Sisters of Saint Cecilia enthusiastically

The Saint Pius V community radiates a deep love of
family and faith. With these core virtues as its foundation, the school
looks forward to continuing the tradition of academic excellence in the
Dominican tradition.
